ULS Log Files Being Created But Empty (0 Kb)

Steps to resolve it.

  1. Find the account that is running the “SharePoint Tracing Service”
  2. Verify that the account is added to the “Performance Log Users” group,
  3. Run a “net stop SPTraceV4” then “net start SPTraceV4”, the ULS logs begin actually logging to the files.
